SLEEPOVERS

Despite the nasty roads and weather, the children had fun on Friday. It took a while to get everyone organized for the afternoon, but it all came together well.
The Valentines and Z's and Aunt JJ had planned a trip to the Science Center that was thwarted by the weather, so they decided to try ChuckECheese. Pictures of that are forthcoming..
The plan has been that the girls would then go to Vulhops for a girly party.. a sleepover. The boys would come here for their sleepover at the same time.
Paul brought P3, Daniel, and Joyce with him to our house. When Aunt JJ arrived, she took Joyce with her. The boys couldn't wait to start the evening.. and when Isaac arrived minutes later, the games were underway. It was non-stop fun with total cooperation among 3 boys with 2 game controllers.
When the Z's got back, they had an early birthday gift for Isaac- wireless controllers for his game unit. For the rest of the evening, they used them.

At around 7am, we heard stirring in the living room. The boys were up and already had the games started. They were very quiet and just having a super time.
They said they'd wakened at 3am and tried to get Isaac awake for more games.

David opted to not join the big boys for this event. That's okay- next time he'll join us.
I felt pleased to hear from Wendell a comment Daniel made to Isaac. .. "Isaac, I hope you can come to Gramma Camp this year. We get to stay here 3 or 4 days and play games!"
He was excited. He's not the only one excited about Gramma Camp- I'm already making plans and will soon try to get a date set.

Tonight we will all be together again at a dinner to celebrate Wendell's and my retirement. It's a dress up affair and I know the girls all have new dresses. The aunts are planning to do the girls hair. It should be a wonderful evening!
