Eunice Lottie-Etta Turner Hixon, 66, of Old Route 8, Middlesex Township, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday at her home.
Born Sept. 13, 1939, in Callery, she was the daughter of William Ray Turner and Eleanor Thompson.She was a member of the Evangel Heights Assembly of God in Sarver.
She was a homemaker and she worked as a licensed practical nurse at Sunnyview Home and Valencia Woods Nursing Center.
She also did private duty nursing.
She enjoyed crafts and traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Hixon, whom she married on Jan. 25, 1957;
three sons, Eugene D. (Kimberly J.) Hixon and Barry Hixon, both of Butler, and Daniel M. (Rebecca L.)Hixon of Renfrew; a daughter, Joy and her husband, Dr. Robin K. Cetnar of Butler;
12 grandchildren, Kristen Joy Hixon, Justin E. Hixon, Rachel K. Hixon, Joel R. Hixon, Luke D. Hixon, Todd D. Hixon, Kevin J. Hixon, Chad M. Hixon, Ashley J. Cetnar, Christopher W. R. Cetnar, Alexander D. Cetnar and Noah B. Cetnar; a brother, Berdette (Grace) Turner of Butler, three sisters, Mrs. Charles (Gwendolyn) Wood of Butler, Mrs. Roger (Phyllis) Bacon of Canada, and Mrs. Nelson (Eileen) James of Butler; and a number of nieces and nephews.
HIXON — Friends of Eunice Lottie-Etta Turner Hixon, who died Friday, Sept. 8, 2006, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Pastor John Kurt and Pastor Gary Bracewell, both of Evangel Heights Assembly of God, officiating.
Interment will follow in Brownsdale Cemetery.
