Well..... yesterday was disappointing for some in a way.... for me, some were elected that I voted for, and others not. I've never voted a straight party line, but for the person.
The thing that leaves me in wonder is that I am not depressed over this, though I know there is a serious problem on the horizon. We've been in hot water for some time, but with liberal leaders, we stand to lose big time in the future.... or will we?
I couldn't help but wonder what God has in mind for us.. for Christians in this liberal environment.. He destroyed Sodom for the same crimes our nation commits. The future seems grim, but we must remain trusting and faithful to our Lord focusing on Him. He did preserve Lot.
I think about that great tapestry that He is weaving. We don't see the whole thing, but just a small window in our place in history. I think our patch is black, but I may be wrong. God takes what seems impossible by times, and makes things right again. I'm depending on this.
Pray for mercy.. pray our newly elected congress will have changed hearts, that Satan will lose his hold on them. Pray for our nation and the military and our President.
It's hard not to feel sad when the economy is booming, unemployment is at an all time low..
what is the "new direction" we are to be facing? They promise a change in our direction- in the way the country is run. What were the voters thinking? They promise integrity and honesty in Washington.... but from what I saw pre election, there was none.. true colors were flying everywhere you looked- I don't think it will change overnight.
Enough said ... look to the future and keep your eyes focused on Jesus. He is the hope of the future.
