VACATION DAY #5 COMES TO A CLOSE

Vacation day #5 is fast coming to a close. It was a fabulous day..but too short. Wendy spent most of the day baking cookies while I spent my day enjoying the children. We took a walk outside and looked for dried corn in the garden, but found none. Isaac and Esther chased the chickens a while- poor hens are sluggish these days- Charlie says only 3 eggs for the day. It's the time of year when the days are short and the weather is cold, and the chickens won't be producing like they did all summer.
Supper was delicious.. Mandy brought home pizza and salad.. WOW! We sat the kids on a big comforter in the living room and watched "Over the Hedge" while they ate. I made the cole slaw for tomorrow's big meal.
What a lovely day we had.
Today is happily Wendell's last scheduled day of work for the season. He says he wants to go back next year, so that will be something to work for over the winter.
Gotta get some rest.. tomorrow comes fast..
HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL AND
MAY GOD BLESS YOU RICHLY
