Yep, there they were last night.. about 3-4 groundhogs frollicking in the front yard. Despicable little creatures they are. They have taken up residence once more in the briar patch just like Br'er Rabbit. Trouble is, they think they own the place, and Charlie's garden is their dining room.
John says he's taking out the briar patch.. but will wait until we harvest the black raspberries first. Who knows what he may find in the patch.. we know there are building supplies there somewhere.
We have one extremely bold little beast who is in the process of digging his entryway inside the window well against the foundation of the house. The plan is to discourage him..by any means necessary- extermination if need be.
This miserable critter has partially filled the window well with dirt he's been excavating. It's one thing for them to live in the briar patch away from the house, but when they plan an invasion this close.. well... one has to do what one has to do to remove them..
There is reason to be glad here.. at least it's not the skunk family that moved into the neighborhood a couple of years ago and frollicked in the front yard at sundown.
