WORLD LEADERS TAKE NOTE

Driven to humility before God responds

"The Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they ignored all his warnings. So the Lord sent the Assyrian armies, and they took Manasseh prisoner.
They put a ring through his nose, bound him in bronze chains, and led him away to Babylon. But while in deep distress, Manasseh sought the Lord his God and cried out humbly to the God of his ancestors. And when he prayed, the Lord listened to him and was moved by his request for help.
So the Lord let Manasseh return to Jerusalem and to his kingdom. Manasseh had finally realized that the Lord alone is God!
2 Chronicles 33:10-13 NLT

I believe the first test of a truly great man is his humility.
John Ruskin"

Manasseh's example

"Manasseh was one of the most wicked kings ever to rule in Judah. He encouraged his own people to do so much evil that they became more wicked than the nations they had once driven out.
God sent warnings through his prophets, but Manasseh ignored them.
Then God sent the Assyrian armies, and they seized Manasseh, bound him with chains and hooks, and carted him off to Babylon (33:9-11).
Finally Manasseh came to his senses and cried out to God for help. God in his mercy listened and restored Manasseh to his kingdom. Manasseh went on to accomplish much for God after that.
In his prosperity, Manasseh was proud. In his nothingness, he was humbled and cried out to God.
Have you learned to be humble, even when you have much?
