BEAUTIFUL DAYS

"When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?" Psalm 8:3-4

What a beautiful day we had yesterday. The sun was shining so brightly and the sky was so blue with fluffy clouds floating by. We were able to make the trip to church without any glitches along the way. How wonderful it is to live in a country where there is freedom to worship God. I'm really thankful for the excellent teaching that Vince presents.

After we had a wonderful lunch, the kids spent most of the day outdoors playing. There is plenty of space here to do just that. Mandy and John had new kites, and the wind was blowing just right for flying, so most of us had a turn at doing just that. The rainbow colored kite got away, string broken, and flew off into the sky and woods. The gray kite did slightly better until I flew it and it spent more time crashing into the neighbor's yard than staying up in the air. I tied broken string twice, and on the 3rd time, I was able to release the entire string and it soared so high up into the sky. WOW! I decided to reel the kite in, but in doing so, the string snapped for the last time and it took off ....wayyyyyy off... I watched it soar into the woods behind our neighbors in back. It was later that Paul and family, Mandy and John went looking for the lost kites. They didn't find the one I flew- but Mandy said she thought it might have been the gray "thing" wrapped on the 500,000 volt power line that goes behind our property. Too bad. It really was fun flying. In the midst of all the kite flying, the big swing in the front yard also got picked up by the strong wind and flipped over landing on Mandy's car. It put a rather large dent in it and scratched it pretty good. Oh, dear. This is the 2nd time her car has been hit by the swing. This time she really wasn't parked anywhere near it.

Today is sunny. How delightful. It's still chilly, but should be just slightly warmer than yesterday. I'm gainfully employed today and tomorrow. I am hoping for a little calmer evening than the last.

Lots going on here. Remember to pray for us.
