SUGAR & SPICE, EVERYTHING NICE

It's Thursday morning. I'm awake early and enjoying my email and the quiet and of course, my coffee. It's a wonderful day. 39 degrees now, but the high is to be 55.. is that a record for January 4th? It's beautiful outside during the day.. yesterday was a good example. The sun was shining and the sky was so blue. Thank you , Lord, for beautiful days. I'm enjoying every one of them individually, as I know we should have several inches/feet of snow by now, and the highs should be 30 degrees each day. It's wonderful. Our worst winter weather comes in February just before spring arrives, so we still could get a substantial amount of snow. I had always heard that we needed snow in the winter to replace the water-table. Well, rain will have to suffice this winter. We do get rain.. just not in the frozen variety.
The children have all slept well. They are camped out in the living room. It is like camping out sort of. Sleeping bags and pillows all over, and peacefully sleeping little ones wherever you look. Soon they will be waking and getting ready to start their day. It will be an exciting one for them. They all are eagerly looking forward to what the day will bring forth. I guess we ALL are looking forward to today finally. Keep watching the blog for more information and pictures too.. If all goes well, we shall all be visiting at Magee tonite.
JJ stopped last night. She's feeling a bit better now. She has the same bug that John had and Mandy now has too. Mandy returned to work this week. She still has a gravely voice and deep cough, but she's on an antibiotic and likely safe to be around..hehehe.
I'm feeling somewhat better.. the tooth is responding to antibiotics now, and heavy pain meds are not needed.
I still will require a root canal after all the dust settles here.
My prayer list for today includes
  • Amy and the baby and a safe delivery for both
  • Wendell - he goes to the SS office today to complete application for retirement
  • Blair children- separated from Mom and Dad today.. pray for patience for them
  • JJ, Mandy, John, and me too.. recovering from our 'bugs'.. give thanks for antibiotics !
  • Aunt MaryJane, Janet, and Uncle Bob recovering.. needing encouragement along the way
  • Maggie who has Guillian-Barre - pray for healing
  • Wendy having sciatic problems with pregnancy- pray for extra strength to care for the children daily
Okay.. have a wonderful day, bloggers.. keep us all in mind and prayer today.. we are in need and covet your prayers especially.

Thanks for all the prayers for Maggie. She is home and learning how to walk again. We give thanks to God for giving the MD's the knowledge of healing.
