HOLIDAYS

The countdown is on.. for sure.. 6 days including today. You can tell things are picking up steam toward Christmas especially since I don't seem to even have time to blog. I totally missed yesterday, though I try to blog daily.
It's so much fun here when the kids come, as they did yesterday.. we made colored paper chains to decorate, and then finished the PB blossoms.. yummy
Today I'll be looking up some sugar free cookies to make tonite for Wendell. The increase in goodies around here makes him feel like he's on the outside looking in.. can't have that.
So much to do yet, and today is the day. I'll be gainfully employed till Saturday this week from here on.
I just have a couple little things to shop for today. Gotta watch the budget.

It's cold today after last weekend's balmy temperatures. Right now it's 24 degrees and crisp.. no snow. The high is to be about 48. I know there are many who think there is something missing when we don't have snow for Christmas, but it sure doesn't bother me... I love it... perhaps God will bless us with a mild winter. With fuel prices so high, it would definitely help others. We use electric heat and don't feel the crunch so much as others. The new roof seems to keep things warmer here too.

  • Keep Nicki and Bob in prayer- they will be traveling this week to Colorado to spend Christmas with their grandson Brendon
  • Remember Aunt MaryJane too.. she is in the hospital with ulcers on her feet. Pray for swift recovery.
  • Pray for safe deliveries for Christy and for Amy.. Christy is overdue now and Amy is due the 21st.
  • Remember Janet as she heals from recent surgeries. Pray for encouragement.
  • Also my friend Kneesocks and her hubby will be doing some travel over the holidays. Pray for their safety.
  • Give thanks to the Lord for all his mercy toward us..for answered prayers and His love toward us.
Wendell has an appointment with the orthopedic surgeon January 5th. They will be discussing knee replacements then. Hopefully, he will be able to have them done before being called back to work in the spring.
This will be such a relief for him. He struggles so much with knee pain.

Have a great day..
